This simple craft activity is very therapeutic and loads of fun. You will need popped up popcorn, chart paper, colours (water colours/food colours in milk, etc ) of your choice, brush and glue. The image shows a rainbow of coloured popcorn painted with food colour mixed in milk.
Take a craft paper and draw a semi circle with glue and stick popcorn on it. Draw as little as two semi circles or go for seven to make a complete rainbow. Then use a brush and colour the popcorn. This works in developing fine motor skills, pincer grasp, eye hand coordination and visual skills.
If you want try something more , start with shapes, like make a square on a chart paper with glue, stick popcorn on it and colour it. You can even try making alphabets, numbers similarly. A very simple and very effective activity for our kids. Don’t you agree?
